As you know Ian Sakinofsky, a long-time TFA Executive member, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on Monday, December 22nd, 2025. Ian’s loss has been felt deeply by many in the TMU community and beyond.
To honour Ian’s extraordinary contributions to the TFA and to the broader TMU community, the TFA is hosting a celebration of life. We invite all those who have been touched by Ian’s life to join this celebration of life and honour his legacy as a tireless and passionate champion of faculty and workers’ rights.
The celebration of life will take place on Monday, February 9th at the TRS Commons (55 Dundas Street West, 7th Floor – Level 1, TRS 1-148) from 6pm to 8pm.
