TFA Summer Party – May 4th!
The TFA Services Committee is hosting its Summer Party on Monday May 4, 2026 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. The event will be held in the Thomas Lounge at Oakham House immediately following the TFA General Membership Meeting.

The next TFA drop-in is Thursday, April 23rd, 1pm – 3pm. We encourage members to take a moment to have a coffee with us, ask a question about your working conditions or about the TFA, and meet some of the executive members and staff. Come for five minutes or stay for the entire time, we would appreciate you dropping by. Light refreshments will be provided.

On April 23rd, the Professional Affairs Committee of the TFA hosted a panel discussion on collective bargaining and dispute resolution. This session was an opportunity to learn more about collective bargaining and dispute resolution approaches, the history of the TFA’s approach to collective bargaining, and how other unions in the post-secondary sector approach this question.
Given the rapidly evolving political landscape in the United States and reports of individuals encountering difficulties crossing the border, CAUT has issued a supplement to its 2019 and 2005 travel advisory. This Supplemental Advisory addresses recent developments at the U.S. border, as well as legislative and judicial developments in Canada.
Over the span of their careers many TFA members will experience a process conducted by HRS – whether as a witness, complainant, or respondent. This session will provide members with the information they need to know about engaging with HRS and provide an opportunity to ask questions.
