OCUFA is holding a social media day of action for contract faculty on Wednesday, February 28th.
This is a day for contract faculty and allies to come together to support better working conditions for contract faculty and other precariously employed workers in the postsecondary sector.
This year, OCUFA wants to build support for its provincial lobbying demands that support good jobs for faculty. OCUFA is asking the government for more public funding to fix issues with our public universities, specifically precarious work. We encourage TFA members to participate in the action for better working conditions for contract faculty and to demand better and more secure jobs in our sector.
Ways to participate:
- Sign the online petition in support of OCUFA’s provincial recommendations and invite others to sign it;
- Take a picture of yourself (selfie) holding up the Together, we can! poster and share online;
- Follow @OCUFA and amplify its posts;
- Post the #TogetherWeCan shareable graphics on X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn. OCUFA has ready-to-use posts that can be adapted to all platforms.
